RUBB Shelter Enabling Works
Work included:
Removal of existing airfield lining on Zulu dispersal, using hydro-blasting method.
Saw cut PQ concrete & excavate trench around perimeter of Rubb hangar.
Installation of Aco drainage channel system around perimeter of Rubb Hangar.
Installation of storm water drainage, sumps & manholes, including discharge connection point within existing manhole chamber.
Trench & lay armoured electric & earthing cables from feeder pillar to Rubb hangar.
Installation of new temporary Rubb Hangar.
Saw cut joints within hangar, remove existing sealant and replace with new.
Shot-blast clean, prepare & prime the hangar floor.
Install an Acrylicon ESD protection, non-slip floor sealant system.
Line mark pedestrian walkways & bay markings in epoxide paint.
Installation of electrical furniture including distribution board, GRB enclosure, sockets, and floodlights.
Installation of Fire Alarm equipment with remote connection to nominated control room.
Installation of earthing and bonding furniture.
